The location was very busy and not isolated off from the LIRR or the #7 subway train to Manhattan & other borough connections. The area is very heavily oriental based with a lot of businesses and various delicious Asian restaurants from Korean, Japanese to Chinese etc. The hotel staff were very pleasant, especially a young lady named Jazmine (if I remember her name correctly) from the time I arrived 'till check out. I stayed between April 16th - 19th in room 805. The room was not very large but comfortably cozy with no overwhelming bad smells. Yes the wall paper was a llittle cracked or slightly peely here and there and carpets were old and traveled but never-the-less both clean. The bed was a nice size queen or small king with fluffy pillows and very firm but not soft. They supplied clean wash clothes and towels with soap and shampoos etc in the bathroom. I had planned this trip nearly a year in advance to catch Barry Manilow at Radio City Music Hall & see my family - and the Flushing Central Hotel did not disappoint. I made my decision based on the overwhelming positive reviews by recent guests with the last few weeks to a couple months - I always think the customers opinions are the best judge to navigate by. So YES most definitely I would come back again and am planning to & I would recommend it if you're not in a position to spend over $1,000 for a few nights as I wasn't able too.

Super clean , inexpensive , comfortable beds , a/c quiet and worked great , room was quiet regardless of the outside noise ( outside noisy inside quiet) located close to everything . Subway entrance a block away . Restaurants , coffee , all within easy walking distance . Area is safe seen a lot of kids playing and couples walking but no thugs none at all in this area ( I’m sure they exist but I didn’t see any to be alarmed about ) Price was great we went in June will come back again and again !

The best part about the hotel was the location. It was very close to the subway stop, across the street from the Tangram, and close to a few food halls that we discovered in the area. It is across the street from a church, which made the area a little quieter. The hotel was clean and our room was close to the elevator, so we were able to reach the lobby quickly, where I was able to get hot water and tea. I liked being able to open the window and get fresh air.

Whilst the hotel wasn't flashy or fancy, it was exactly what we needed. Close to Citi Field, close to a subway station, surrounded by excellent restaurants (in the heart of Chinatown), so I can't recommend this hotel highly enough., Don't expect flashy, expect a modestly priced stay and you will be surprised!

Location was great with a large choice of restaurants and services within a 5-minute walk. Within 15 minutes from Laguardia Airport by Uber. Much better choice than waiting for "free" shuttle to expensive airport hotels a few miles closer to the airport.
